Overview

The Finance Manager will play a key leadership role in driving the implementation and compliance of Malaysia’s E-Invoicing framework across the Group. This position requires strong technical expertise in finance operations, system integration, and tax compliance, as well as proven leadership in managing process transformation. The incumbent will ensure that the Group’s invoicing, reporting, and financial processes fully align with IRBM’s (Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia) requirements and support the broader goals of efficiency and digitalization.

Job Responsibilities

  • 1. E-Invoicing Implementation and Compliance

Lead the end-to-end implementation of the E-Invoicing system in line with IRBM guidelines and deadlines.

  • Collaborate with IT and ERP vendors to ensure seamless system integration with existing accounting platforms.
  • Develop and document new E-Invoicing workflows , approval hierarchies, and reporting procedures.
  • Monitor compliance and manage timely submission of all e-invoices and related documents.
  • Serve as the main liaison with IRBM and external consultants on technical and regulatory matters.
  • Conduct training and awareness sessions for finance and operational staff.
  • 2. Financial Management and Reporting

    • Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

  • Ensure timely and accurate statutory reporting, tax filings, and SST submissions .
  • Strengthen internal controls and process governance in line with corporate and regulatory standards.
  • Support management in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • 3. Systems and Process Improvement

    • Drive digital transformation initiatives within the Finance Department.

  • Identify and implement opportunities for automation, process optimization, and data accuracy improvement.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (IT, Procurement, Operations) to align finance systems with business requirements.
  • 4. Team Leadership

    • Supervise, mentor, and develop finance team members.

  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage workload distribution to ensure timely delivery of key financial tasks.

    • Job Requirements

    Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, MICPA, etc.) preferred.

    Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.

    Proven experience in E-Invoicing system implementation or ERP finance module rollout (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).

    Strong understanding of IRBM compliance , SST , and other Malaysian financial regulations.

    Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems.

    Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
