As our HR Manager, you’ll be a critical part of our people function, supporting both the day-to-day needs of our Malaysian team and helping to lay the foundation for future regional operations. You’ll take ownership of core HR processes such as payroll, industrial relations, policy development, and HR operations—all while being a cultural ambassador and strategic partner to leadership.
Responsibilities :
- Perform full spectrum of HR functions excluding recruitment.
- Oversee and execute end-to-end payroll processing ; act hands-on when needed to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Manage industrial relations , including handling grievances, disciplinary cases, and union matters where applicable.
- Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures aligned with Malaysian law and organizational needs.
- Support and adapt HR policies in foreign countries in coordination with legal or local partners.
- Drive employee engagement , foster a positive work culture, and serve as a trusted advisor to management.
- Ensure full compliance with labor laws and statutory requirements.
- Manage HR operations such as onboarding, offboarding, compensation, benefits, and employee communications.
- Support change management and cross-functional projects aligned with business goals.
- Partner with business leaders and managers to address employee concerns and foster an environment that supports employee growth and well-being.
Develop and implement people experience strategies that drive employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention , aligned with business goals.
Requirements :
Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.5+ years of HR managerial experience.Payroll experience is a must and with the ability to be hands-on when needed.Strong understanding of Malaysian labor laws and HR best practices.High emotional intelligence (EQ) and excellent stakeholder management skills.Experience handling Visa applications.Proven experience in HR, employee relations, performance management and Industrial relationProven ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Experience in policy development and understanding of cross-border HR compliance is an advantage
