Assist BA in defining solution, ensuring alignment with business strategies and priorities as well as target benefits expected. Design and document application using AS400. Identify new hardware and software technologies to fit specialized business needs and configurations. Direct the development and configuration of application components from Conceptualization through stabilization using various computer platform. testing, debug and document components of an application. We are seeking an experienced AS400 Developer with strong proficiency in RPG / Cobol to join our development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing, designing, coding, testing, and implementing software applications.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using RPG (RPG III, IV, ILE), CL , and cobol .
- Analyze user requirements and design technical solutions.
- Perform unit testing and support system integration testing.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and fix production issues on AS400 applications.
- Work on new enhancements, bug fixes, and performance tuning of existing applications.
- Develop and maintain system documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, and project managers.
- Migrate and modernize legacy RPG programs when necessary.
- Provide support for batch jobs and production support on AS400 platform.
