The incumbent is responsible to perform electrical and instrumentation maintenance & reliability related job functions in safe and effective manners.
Principal responsibilities
- To perform electrical and instrumentation maintenance job in safe and effective manner.
- Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures using hand tool, power tools and test equipment.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Inspect and test electrical system, equipment and components to identify hazards, defect and the need for adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance to electrical regulation.
- Perform physically demanding tasks and heavy duties related to electrical fabrication, installation and maintenance, including work from ladders, scaffolds, and other complicated environment when required.
- Provide technical assistance and resolution; perform supervisory duties as required on electrical related work performed by internal personnel or contractor.
- Assist superior in planning, scheduling and monitor work when required.
- To ensure skills at high level of safety, competency, quality and reliability
- Maintain current electrical competency and license to meet governmental electrical regulations and company electrical authorization system.
- Fully follow instruction and collaborate with supervisor, engineer and other workshop personnel in every job involved.
- Fully comply all safety requirement, rules and procedures.
- Advise or acknowledge superior on potential hazards and defect. Seek permission before making any modification.
- Participate training an ensure compliance to assessment that conducted by supervisor, engineer or company.
- Ensure compliance and achievement of performance standards in South tonnage sites and operations
- Promote Site-safe program
- Report and investigate hazards, accidents and near misses
- Implement PPE standards, safe work, operating, emergency procedures, health and organisational rules.
Required qualifications / experience
Certified HV BO Chargeman by Suruhanjaya Tenaga.Minimum 8 years of working experience in industrial gases or similar industries.
