Fixed Assets Accountant

Huntsman Global Business Services is now looking for a dynamic individual as a Fixed Assets Accountant . The Fixed Assets Accountant position is accountable for recording the cost of newly-acquired fixed assets (both tangible and intangible), tracking existing fixed assets, monitoring on the Capital in Progress, recording depreciation, and accounting for the disposition of fixed assets.

The Fixed Assets Accountant will be working closely with the various stakeholders in multiple countries around the globe (i.e Country Accountant, Local Business & Project Manager) to ensure that the accounting service is delivered on time with quality and satisfactory. The Fixed Assets Accountant also need to ensure that the works performed are in accordance to USGAAP and Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX) control.

The ideal candidate will be located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• To ensure the KPI are met
• To ensure SOX and GAAP compliance
• To complete month end closing with deadline
• To complete fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the accounting system.
• Track the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts, and close out those accounts once the related projects have been completed.
• Reconcile the balance in the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to the summary-level account in the general ledger.
• Calculate and analyze depreciation movement for all fixed assets.
• To maintain the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation.
• To monitor and track on CIP Projects (Capital In Progress) on the spending and timeframe
• To support and service business queries and report in timely manner
• To involve in implementing systems and procedures changes
• To involve in ad hoc project and migration
• Assist with requests by internal and / or external audit
