The Manager, Cloud Operations will provide day to day support to all AIA business units using AIA’s Azure public cloud platform including but not limited to incident-, change-, request- and problem management. This role focuses on leveraging Azure services administration tasks and optimizing cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.

Overview

The Manager, Cloud Operations will manage and administer the Microsoft Azure cloud environment to support business needs, drive operational excellence, and ensure reliable cloud services.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer the Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance.
  • Analyze existing operational standards, processes, and governance to identify and implement improvements.
  • Develop infrastructure as code leveraging cloud-native tooling to ensure automated and consistent platform deployments.
  • Support cloud adoption of applications as they are being transformed and / or modernized.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to address and resolve technical escalations.
  • Provide training and support to team members.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues and collaborate with IT and business stakeholders.
  • Provide technical support and guidance.

Experience

  • 5+ years relevant experience in Cloud Engineering / Support role
  • Excellent understanding and proven experience in Public Cloud implementation, workload migration and operational support in a multi-site enterprise environment
  • Practical experience of supporting Enterprise Public Cloud Services and automation
  • Experience within a decentralized organization, preferably within the Group unit
  • Sound understanding of IT operating model design and best practices
  • Experience in a top-tier multinational corporation is an advantage
  • Liaise with service providers to ensure that operational processes (backup, patching, provisioning, monitoring) for service follow-up and incident management
  • Understanding of Infrastructure-As-Code configuration management tooling (at least one of the following – Terraform, Ansible, Chef / Puppet)
