Primarily responsible for providing efficient administrative and sales support to the managements. Responsible for providing efficient administrative support to Logistics sales and carrying out indoor sales activities such as tele sales, CRM (client relationship Management) and maintaining close follow-up on quotation. Work closely with the sales team in implementing sales strategies and to increase GAC Logistics presence within the Malaysia Market.

Job Description

1. Quotation Strike Rates & Responses Time

  • Oversee the preparation and submission of accurate and timely quotations.
  • Monitor and analyze quotation strike rates to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure quotations are delivered to customers within the agreed response time.

Success Metrics :

  • CIF terms – Response within 24 hours.
  • DDP / DDU terms to APAC – Response within 24 hours.
  • DDP / DDU terms to Europe / US – Response within 48 hours.
  • Tender / RFQ – Respond according to the submission dateline.
  • Quotation strike rate target of 30% with a margin of minimum 15%.

    2. Procurement and Supplier Management

  • Oversee the procurement process, including rates sourcing, negotiating and confirmation of services.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability and cost effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
  • Success Metrics :

  • Cost savings achieved through procurement negotiations.
  • Coordinate with outdoor sales teams to provide them with necessary quotations, documentation and client information.
  • Support other GAC Malaysia branch offices by ensuring they have the tools and resources needed to meet their sales targets and prepare quotes as needed.
  • Maintain a central repository of sales materials and ensure that all teams have access to the latest resources.
  • Success Metrics :

  • Increased efficiency in sales operations across branches.
  • Positive feedback from outdoor sales and branch managers.
  • Timely and accurate support provided to sales teams.
  • 4. Coordination, Exchange Sales Lead & Trade Lane Development with Global Offices and Agents

  • Liaise and coordinate with global offices / agents regarding sales-related enquiries, development, shipment monitoring and coordination internally with customer service and operation.
  • Generate, record, monitor and follow up on sales leads received and sent abroad and locally on a monthly basis.
  • Effectively follow up on sales leads and convert them into sales.
  • Build good relationships to develop opportunities between G2G & G2A by exchanging sales leads and promoting our services.
  • Update selected countries’ follow-up by other countries' pricing on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Provide briefing to the sales and business support team on the updated pricing.
  • 5. Carry out Telesales to Promote GAC Services and Follow up for Business Opportunity

    Perform telesales activities to promote GAC services and follow up on potential business opportunities.

    6. Ad-Hoc Task Required

  • Carry out all other activities as assigned by Line Manager & management and perform any ad-hoc tasks as required.
  • Generate sales activity reports, analyze and present to management on a weekly / monthly / yearly basis.
  • Job Requirements

    Minimum Advanced Diploma / Degree Holder in Logistics & Management or similar field.

    Minimum 1–2 years relevant working experience in the freight forwarding industry.

    Proficient in Microsoft Office.
