Key Responsibilities

  • Application Support (L3) : Provide Level 3 support for Silverlake Core Banking and related applications, focusing on the BWC Customer File system.
  • Incident & Problem Management : Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production issues, ensuring minimal downtime and impact to business operations.
  • Change & Release Management : Manage and implement application changes, patches, and upgrades using ALDON for automated software deployment on AS400.
  • DevOps & Automation : Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline deployment processes, improve monitoring, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Database Management : Support and optimize AS400 / DB2 databases for application stability, performance, and reliability.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with business users, developers, and infrastructure teams to deliver timely resolutions and improvements.
  • Documentation : Maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures for application support.
  • Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and proactive issue prevention.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in application support, production support, or L3 maintenance roles in the banking / financial sector.
  • Hands-on experience with AS400 / DB2 environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Silverlake Core Banking system and BWC (Bankwide CIF) Customer File.
  • Experience with ALDON or equivalent tools for software deployment automation.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI / CD, and system monitoring tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with ability to analyze complex technical issues.
  • Good communication skills to interact with business users and technical teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a production environment.
  • Preferred (Nice to Have)

  • Experience in the banking / financial services industry.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
  • Knowledge of scripting for automation in AS400 environments.
