Who You Are

Position Summary : We are seeking a talented and driven Hong Kong (ASEAN) Financial Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in overseeing the Hong Kong legal entity (including Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, and Vietnam Representative Offices), and ASEAN business from a finance perspective. This role requires a strong combination of technical financial expertise and a deep understanding of business processes to drive continuous improvements in financial management and treasury workflows.

Responsibilities

• Key Areas of Responsibility :
• Business & Financial Support (ASEAN) — Support ASEAN financial operations and partner with Sales and Business Development teams. Provide both financial and non-financial insights to support effective business decision-making.
• Planning & Forecasting — Lead the monthly sales forecast, quarterly rolling forecasts, and the Annual Operating Plan (AOP). Organize and prepare monthly business review presentations.
• Business Monitoring & Process Improvement — Monitor and analyse business performance to improve the accuracy and quality of planning. Drive process improvements and enhance operational efficiency across the organization.
• Entity Oversight & Compliance — Oversee the Hong Kong legal entity and representative offices in Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, and Vietnam. Ensure compliance in statutory reporting, tax matters, and local regulations.
• Audit & Legal Coordination — Manage internal and external audit processes. Provide support in legal matters prior to engaging with Legal Counsel or external lawyers. Conduct quarterly reviews of sales incentive programs.
• Operational Finance Role
• Cash Flow Management — Prepare and provide cash flow forecasts to the APAC Controller and Treasury team. Support financing initiatives such as loans, factoring, and other financial instruments.
• Accounts Receivable Oversight — Review AR aging reports and identify overdue items. Coordinate with the sales team to determine reasons for delays and establish payment schedules.
• Credit Management — Regularly assess customers’ financial risks and adjust credit limits as needed. Review sales orders and decide on their release or blocking based on AR status and credit limits.
• Commercial Terms Tracking & Reporting — Maintain proper records of customer contracts and commercial terms, ensuring alignment with business planning. Regularly analyse and report actual spending on special pricing, discounts, and rebates.
