Geopancar Sdn Bhd are looking for one project manager that has experience in substructure works - deep foundation and retaining wall structures (bored piles, diaphragm walls, contiguous bored piles).
He / she must also be experienced in handling superstructure projects, which include deep understanding of rc works, brickworks, plastering, tiling, plumbing, carpentry, M&E works.
You will be expected to work 6 day working weeks, coordinate and lead a large team of engineers, supervisors, labourers as well as subcontractors.
All candidates must be problem solvers able to be client facing and handle all site related matters.
Project Planning :
- Define the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management.
- Determine the resources (time, budget, equipment, etc.) required to complete the project.
- Develop a detailed project plan outlining tasks, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Set project goals and objectives, ensuring these align with
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers to determine project requirements.
- Assess the feasibility of the project and perform risk management.
- Budgeting & Cost Estimates
- Regularly review costs, ensuring the project remains within budget.
- Analyze financial data, ensuring optimal use of resources.
Project Execution & Control
Ensure that construction activities progress according to the pre-determined schedule.Regularly report the progress of the projects to stakeholders.Implement quality control processes, ensuring standards are met or exceeded.Regularly spot check materials on site, inventory and logistics to ensure minimal wastage and theft.Team Management & Coordination
Coordinate and manage members of the project team, including contractors, architects, engineers, and support staff.Conduct regular team meetings to ensure everyone is aware of the project status and requirements.Foster positive relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.Contract Administration
Handle the procurement process, ensuring materials and services are acquired on time and within budget.Manage contractual agreements with suppliers, contractors, and other project-related entities.Compliance & SafetyEnsure projects adhere to all building codes, legal requirements, and safety standards.Continuously evaluate the safety procedures in place and promote safe work environments.Serve as the key point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.Project Completion & Handover
Ensure the completion of construction projects and handover to clients, including all documentation.Conduct post-project reviews to determine areas for future improvement.Continuous ImprovementStay updated with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in construction management.Advocate for and implement new methodologies or technologies that can benefit the company.Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Master's preferred.Professional certifications in Project Management (e.g., PMP) would be advantageous.Several years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of successfully completed projects.Key Competencies :
