We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Social Media Manager to lead the development and execution of impactful, data-driven social strategies for regional and local clients across Malaysia and Singapore. This role is ideal for a versatile digital thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, creative agency environment and is passionate about leading teams, building brands, and delivering meaningful results through social.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Strategy & Management : Lead social media strategy development for a diverse portfolio of clients (B2B, FMCG, F&B, etc.). Conduct social audits, competitor benchmarking, and social listening analysis to derive actionable insights. Translate brand objectives into effective platform and content strategies tailored to each market. Present strategies and creative proposals directly to clients and stakeholders.
- Content Strategy Direction & Planning : Collaborate with creative and performance teams to develop platform-native content. Oversee content pillars, campaign calendars, and visual direction, ensuring alignment with brand goals. Review and improve mockups, copywriting, and community management tone to ensure quality and consistency.
- Team Leadership & Upskilling : Manage and mentor social media executives and interns across Malaysia and Singapore. Review outputs, provide training, and ensure team members meet performance KPIs. Develop internal templates, SOPs, and workflows to improve delivery efficiency and campaign execution.
- Reporting & Optimisation : Collaborate with the analytics team to develop monthly / quarterly reports and dashboards. Analyse performance trends and platform algorithms to inform content optimisation strategies. Recommend improvements based on audience insights, social listening, and engagement patterns.
Key Qualifications
5+ years of experience in social media management, ideally within a digital or creative agencyStrong understanding of platform strengths across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and X (Twitter)Experience handling integrated campaigns and always-on strategiesExcellent communication and presentation skills, with experience in client-facing rolesAble to think both strategically and creatively, with a strong attention to detailFamiliarity with tools such as Meta Business Suite, Brandwatch, Google Slides, and Asana is a plusLeadership experience managing teams and / or regional accounts preferredWhat We’re Looking For
