We are seeking a highly creative and experienced Senior Designer to join our Product Development team at Al-Ikhsan Sports . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sportswear and footwear design , combined with expertise in AI-powered design tools to create innovative, trend-leading products that meet the performance and lifestyle needs of our customers.

This role is critical in driving Al-Ikhsan’s mission to deliver world-class sports apparel and footwear designs that blend functionality, style, and cutting-edge innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design process for sports apparel and footwear collections, from concept through final prototype.
• Utilize AI-driven tools for idea generation, trend forecasting, pattern creation, and virtual prototyping.
• Translate market insights, consumer preferences, and brand positioning into commercially viable designs.
• Develop and present design concepts through sketches, CAD, and 3D modeling (Clo3D, Rhino, Blender, etc.).
• Work closely with merchandising, sourcing, and marketing teams to ensure design feasibility and alignment with business objectives.
• Research and experiment with new materials, fabric technology, and performance innovations .
• Maintain strong awareness of global sportswear and footwear trends , ensuring Al-Ikhsan remains competitive and relevant.
• Mentor and guide junior designers to elevate the creative output of the design team.

Requirements

Education & Training

Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Fashion Design, Industrial Design, Textile Engineering, or related field .

Additional training / certification in AI-powered design tools, 3D fashion design, or trend forecasting is an advantage.

Experience

Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in sports apparel and / or footwear design.

Proven portfolio showcasing innovative designs across apparel and footwear categories.

Hands-on experience with AI design platforms (e.g., MidJourney, Adobe Firefly, Stable Diffusion, Runway ML).

Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and 3D design software (Clo3D, Rhino, Blender, or equivalent).

Experience in managing projects from concept to production with cross-functional teams.

Strong creative vision and ability to balance style, functionality, and commercial appeal .

Solid knowledge of sportswear materials, performance fabrics, and footwear construction .

Ability to leverage AI and digital design to accelerate creativity and efficiency.

Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.

Strong time management, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
