Job Summary
The Storekeeper is responsible for managing the daily operations of the store, including the receiving, storing, and issuing of goods. This role requires a high degree of organization and attention to detail to ensure accurate and efficient inventory management and a smooth workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against delivery notes and purchase orders.
- Accurately record all stock movements, including incoming and outgoing goods, in the inventory management system.
- Organize and store inventory in a secure, clean, and accessible manner.
- Prepare and issue goods to relevant departments or individuals based on approved requisitions.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile them with system records.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues to management immediately.
- Maintain the overall cleanliness and security of the storage area.
Qualifications and Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent qualification.Proven experience as a storekeeper or in a similar inventory-related role.Basic proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and experience with inventory management software.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, moving, and organizing stock.
