Job Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting the written policies and procedures regarding the AML / CFT for TNGD including customer acceptance / due diligence, transaction monitoring, sanction screening, reviewing, training as well as reporting to safeguard TNGD from being used by criminals to facilitate their ML / TF activities. Periodic review of policies and procedures as well as timely updates to implement changes in rules and regulations.
- Assist in providing advice to all departments / divisions in matters relating to AML / CFT compliance e.g. account opening, PEP status, sanctions and irregular transactions including reporting the transactions as prescribed in the policy.
- Maintain the internal list of authorised LEA Investigating Officer (IO) to ensure that information requests received are from authorised IO from the relevant LEA.
- Monitor AML / CFT regulatory developments, notify TNGD staff and make relevant changes to ensure the implementation of new / amended AML / CFT controls are effective.
- Assist in setting up departmental and individual goals and targets for the AML / CFT Team.
- Assist in developing the AML / CFT Compliance plan and ensure effective implementation of the action plan.
Quality Assurance
Assist in developing the AML / CFT Compliance Assurance plan.Perform quality assurance review on customer acceptance / due diligence, transaction monitoring and sanction screening, particularly high-risk onboarding and high-risk transactions, as per the AML / CFT Compliance Assurance plan.Training and Awareness
Assist in planning the AML / CFT training and awareness content and frequency.Prepare and disseminate the AML / CFT awareness newsletters as per the AML / CFT training and awareness plan.Coordinate with HR L&D to launch mandatory AML / CFT e-learning modules and ensure that mandatory modules are completed by all / relevant employees.Reports
Assist in completion of relevant reports by updating AML / CFT activities including findings to the Senior Management, BARCC and BOARD.Assist in providing input / response to the audit review from internal audit and BNM.Assist in the periodic reporting of positive name match to BNM.Review the AML due diligence requests received from business partners and coordinate the responses for queries related to other business units.Monitor FINS publications and other regulatory developments pertaining to AML / CFT on daily basis and update the department on a timely manner. To disseminate the publication / notices to all staff if it is necessary / permitted.Job Requirements
Education & Certification
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or related field. AML / CFT certifications (e.g. CAMS, ICA) are an advantage.
Experience
3–5 years’ experience in AML / CFT compliance, preferably in financial services. Experience in policy drafting, regulatory reporting, due diligence, and working with regulatory bodies
Knowledge & Skills
