Job Description

Senior Mechanical Engineer (Equipment & Automation). Ambu A / S is currently looking for an NPI Engineer for our Equipment & Automation team to be based in Ambu Global Hub, in Penang, Malaysia.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing equipment, testing equipment and automation systems with robotics integration to enhance efficiency and precision.
• Review detailed CAD models, engineering drawings and BOMs from vendors on equipment and automation systems and challenge the designers and / or provide alternative solutions for the models.
• Provide suitable mechanical components (pneumatic valves, actuators, motors, sensors, etc.) to be used in equipment and automation systems.
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for new equipment to ensure they meet specifications, performance standards, and regulations.
• Collaborate with software, electrical, and controls engineers to integrate mechanical components into full automation systems.
• Optimize equipment performance and efficiency.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for equipment-related issues.
• Provide training and support for equipment operation and maintenance.
