What will I be doing?

As the Paymaster cum General Cashier you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards :

Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in managing payroll, cash handling, and financial documentation.

Ensures strict adherence to internal controls and compliance with audit and regulatory standards, upholding the highest levels of financial integrity.

Payroll Administration Expertise

Demonstrates strong proficiency in managing end-to-end payroll processes, including statutory deductions and team member benefits, in full compliance with local labor laws.

Maintains the highest standards of confidentiality and accuracy in all team member compensation matters.

Cash Handling & Reconciliation

Demonstrates expertise in managing daily cash flow, preparing accurate bank deposits, and reconciling cash discrepancies in a timely manner.

Ensures secure handling and proper safeguarding of cash and cash equivalents in accordance with company policies and financial best practices.

Systems & Software Proficiency

Proficient in hotel accounting systems with a solid understanding of operational workflows.

Skilled in using Microsoft Excel and payroll software to generate accurate reports and perform data-driven analysis to support decision-making.

Regulatory Compliance

Well-versed in local tax regulations, labor laws, and financial reporting standards.

Ensures accurate and timely submission of statutory filings and payroll-related documentation, maintaining full compliance with legal and organizational requirements.

Maintains clear, professional communication with internal teams, banking partners, and external auditors to ensure smooth financial operations.

Collaborates effectively with HR and Finance departments by providing timely and accurate team member compensation data and financial reports.

Discretion & Trustworthiness

Handles sensitive financial and team member information with the utmost confidentiality and integrity.

Recognized as a trusted financial administrator responsible for the secure and compliant management of hotel funds and payroll operations.

What are we looking for?

A Paymaster cum General Cashier serving Hilton Brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow :

  • Possesses a Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Possesses hands‑on experience in payroll administration and cashiering, with a strong background in the luxury hospitality sector.
  • Experience in hotel pre‑opening projects is a valuable asset.
  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of Malaysian statutory requirements, including EPF, SOCSO, PCB, and labor regulations.
  • Upholds the highest standards of integrity, accuracy, and discretion in managing sensitive financial and team member information.
  • Proficient in financial systems and payroll software, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with hotel accounting platforms.
