As a team member of Asia Tax Services Centre (ATC) in Malaysia, you will be assigned a set of tax support activities that tap into your level of tax proficiency and skills. Our tax support extends throughout the APAC region and Europe. To thrive in a dynamic and agile working environment, you are prepared to adopt changes in your scope of work from time to time. In the course of your work, you collaborate closely with the global tax community, accounting and controlling team and business community. You also work with external tax consultants and liaise with tax authorities as and when required. In your daily engagement with the respective collaborators, you identify new opportunities for ATC to provide further support that will achieve greater efficiency in the organization.

How You’ll Make An Impact

Siemens Energy (SE) ATC in Malaysia supports global tax functions within Siemens Energy Group. It includes leading all aspects of tax governance and local tax teams worldwide.

We are currently seeking a Senior Tax Specialist to support a variety of compliance tasks, including European VAT, and project advisory. This position calls for a diligent individual with strong analytical skills and a proven grasp of tax compliance processes. The successful candidate will work closely with our in‑house tax teams and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate tax filings and reporting where required.

• Provide mentorship on tax matters to internal businesses in relation to cross‑border project activities.
• Support the day‑to‑day tax compliance and tax reporting matters for the assigned SE entities, including indirect tax returns : VAT and withholding taxes.
• Support with enquiries and requests from tax authorities.
• Support adhoc tax projects when required (e.g. new tax implementation, changes in tax rules).
• Tax advisory assistance, encompassing mentorship on cross‑border project tax matters.
• Collaborate with an international tax team alongside the local Malaysian ATC team.
