Head of Research & Development (R&D) (m / f / d)

Based in Melaka Job Description :

You will oversee the timely and cost-efficient development of machines, ensuring projects align with technical specifications and deadlines. Your role will involve formulating medium-term plans in line with corporate goals, exploring new technologies, and thinking strategically about product development. You will work closely with local and regional teams for strategic planning and coordinate operations and procurement throughout the project cycle. Additionally, you’ll train, develop, and supervise the R&D team, ensuring high performance.

Key Responsibilities :

• Responsible for in-time and cost-efficient development of machines according to technical specification
• Ensure projects are completed in time, formulate and execute a medium-term plan in line with the corporate direction
• Explore new technology and keep abreast on recent developments in the market and be able to think of creative ways to market the products
• Work closely with the local team and regional team in strategic planning
• Coordinate between operation and procurement throughout the project cycle
• Impart product knowledge to staff, train, develop, motivate and direct supervise the performance of the R&D team
