Senior Electrical Design Engineer (2+ years contract)

In this position, you will provide leadership to the CS Facilities operations team, overseeing, sustaining, improving, and developing new CS facilities operations capabilities.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to being part of the CS Facilities operations team and owning, sustaining, and improving system capacity, operational troubleshooting, system upgrade evaluation and optimization. You will enhance performance by applying statistical process control methodologies, Design of Experiments, and developing procedures for our systems. Provide projects and sustaining electrical engineering support at our facilities.
- Act as the lead System Owner for the electrical distribution system, modeling the electrical power system and tracking changes.
- Troubleshoot electrical system problems, conduct breaker coordination and arc flash studies.
- Deliver operational efficiency, maintenance, testing and commissioning solutions; drive capital budgets for system upgrades; provide technical leadership to Integrated Facility Management (IFM) and contractors.
- Be a member of the Emergency Operations Center, respond to power outages and disturbances, lead recovery efforts, and participate on cross-site teams (e.g., RDCOC, site audits); some travel and occasional weekend engineering support may be required.

Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to read and interpret design drawings and specifications; ability to communicate strategic and tactical concepts across a wide range of employees from engineering peers to operators to management.Strong problem solving skills with structured problem solving methods and tools.Ability to work effectively as an individual with minimal direction, and as part of a larger team.Experience reviewing and approving electrical designs in manufacturing; effective collaboration with Project Managers, Project Engineers, architects, engineers, and contractors on new construction or renovation projects.Thorough knowledge of facilities low and mediumVoltage electrical distribution systems including transformers, MCCs, generators, UPS, etc.; ability to review cost estimates, budgets, and ROI analysis.Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently; strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, UL 508A, NFPA 79, IEEE-242 and third-party electrical inspections.Proven leadership in a project team environment and ability to articulate key messages clearly to teams, customers, and senior management.Strategic thinking with the ability to motivate the team toward a compelling vision; demonstrated leadership of operational excellence with metrics and cadence.Proven ability to read and interpret design drawings and specifications; develop and write procedures to support high-performance operations and aging electrical infrastructure reliability.Assist in maintaining facilities document control, ensuring electrical as-built drawings are incorporated into the master CAD drawing; keep electrical system model up to date and ensure construction specifications and O&M manuals are received after project closeout.Coordinate with Project Engineers, contractors, and engineers on project design and close-out documentation; oversee external CAD support.Provide design and industrial engineering support on projects and maintain a CAD / document control system.2-year contract period (1 year with possibility for renewal) supporting startup, commissioning, operation and maintenance activities.Job Qualifications
Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with more than 8 years of experience or related field.Experience in Advanced Semiconductor manufacturing environments with emphasis on low and high voltage power, load flow analysis, electrical system modeling, electrical engineering specifications and design, short-circuit calculations, overcurrent device coordination, and electrical utility forecasting for large facilities. PE or I R registration or competence certification is highly desired.Experience in project coordination and management for electrical projects is advantageous.Employment type
