Senior Electrical Design Engineer (2+ years contract)

In this position, you will provide leadership to the CS Facilities operations team, overseeing, sustaining, improving, and developing new CS facilities operations capabilities.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to being part of the CS Facilities operations team and owning, sustaining, and improving system capacity, operational troubleshooting, system upgrade evaluation and optimization. You will enhance performance by applying statistical process control methodologies, Design of Experiments, and developing procedures for our systems. Provide projects and sustaining electrical engineering support at our facilities.

• Act as the lead System Owner for the electrical distribution system, modeling the electrical power system and tracking changes.
• Troubleshoot electrical system problems, conduct breaker coordination and arc flash studies.
• Deliver operational efficiency, maintenance, testing and commissioning solutions; drive capital budgets for system upgrades; provide technical leadership to Integrated Facility Management (IFM) and contractors.
• Be a member of the Emergency Operations Center, respond to power outages and disturbances, lead recovery efforts, and participate on cross-site teams (e.g., RDCOC, site audits); some travel and occasional weekend engineering support may be required.
