Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in shaping BAADER’s global supply chain—leveraging your technical expertise to interpret mechanical drawings, evaluate part specifications, and identify the right fabrication methods—while strategically sourcing and procuring critical materials, components, and parts across Asia for both local production and the entire BAADER Group (Europe, United States, and Asia)? As a Strategic Technical Purchaser, you will not only drive best-value purchasing and supplier partnerships but also collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams worldwide to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and reliable availability for all BAADER production sites, reporting functionally to the Head of Strategic Purchasing in Europe. This exciting role will see you take on responsibilities such as :

Develop and implement a groupwide strategic purchasing function for technical parts in the machine building industry, with direct leadership of the Asia team and functional oversight of the global purchasing network.

Establish purchasing organization and processes in Asia to ensure best price, best quality, and reliable sourcing of technical parts for the BAADER Group worldwide.

Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers based on quality, reliability, cost efficiency, and delivery performance.

Lead negotiations and contract management with suppliers to secure competitive terms and long-term partnerships.

Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure continuity and sustainability of supply.

Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical requirements to align supplier capabilities with business needs.

Assess fabrication feasibility and recommend suppliers capable of meeting strict technical and quality standards.

Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to select materials and components that meet design and performance criteria.

Oversee procurement documentation including RFQs, purchase orders, and supplier agreements.

Monitor and manage supplier performance, addressing issues related to quality, delivery, and pricing.

Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery and inspection of purchased items across Asia and the global production network.

Manage inventory levels, reorder points, and audits to ensure accuracy, minimize stockouts, and reduce excess.

Drive cost savings initiatives, process improvements, and supply chain optimization.

Implement best practices and SOPs to enhance efficiency and standardize procurement processes globally.

Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies relevant to strategic sourcing.

Support internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen compliance and cost effectiveness.
