About the Role

We are looking for a Technical Services Manager to join our platform in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This role is a critical bridge between our technical, sales, and R&D teams, ensuring our customers receive expert support, innovative solutions, and world-class service.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Services

  • Provide technical support to customers on applications, troubleshooting, and product use.
  • Collaborate with Sales and R&D teams to develop customised solutions for customer needs.
  • Assist in creating and reviewing technical datasheets, specifications, and documentation.
  • Support R&D during scale-up, site trials, and new product development.
  • Analyse on-site product performance, failure modes, and process deviations, feeding back to QA and R&D.
  • Maintain a technical knowledge base with test results, application data, and case records.
  • Deliver practical training sessions for specialist applicators.

Technical Sales Support

  • Act as a technical partner to the Sales team, offering recommendations, performance data, and troubleshooting guidance.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and training for customers and internal staff.
  • Assist in preparing proposals, quotations, and specifications.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding product suitability and project requirements.
  • Support new product launches with application data, testing, and technical input.

    • Product Management

  • Lead the strategy, development, and lifecycle management of the resin product portfolio (epoxy, polyurethane, terrazzo, etc.).
  • Work with cross-functional teams (R&D, Sales, QA, Manufacturing, Marketing) to drive product development and commercialisation.
  • Gather market intelligence and customer feedback to identify opportunities and improvements.
  • Oversee product introductions, enhancements, cost optimisation, and phase-outs.
  • Ensure product specifications, datasheets, and safety / marketing materials are up to date.
  • Support Sales with training, presentations, and competitive positioning.
  • Analyse performance metrics, pricing, and profitability to inform business strategy.

    • What We're Looking For

  • Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in technical services, product management, or technical sales (preferably in resin flooring, coatings, or construction materials).
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer-facing skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with R&D, Sales, QA, and Manufacturing.
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to conduct site visits, training, and trials.
