Lead Java Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Agile Developer with strong Java, API, and Microservices expertise. You will design, build, test, and deploy high-quality backend solutions in a collaborative, agile environment, working closely with Product Owners and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java-based Microservices and REST / SOAP APIs.
• Deploy solutions in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes / OpenShift).
• Manage end-to-end development : coding, testing, documentation, and deployment.
• Conduct performance tuning, load testing, and peer code reviews.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and promote best practices.
• Research and implement new technologies to enhance team capabilities.

Skills & Experience

• Strong Java, API (REST / SOAP), and Spring Boot experience (10+ years).
• Expertise in Microservices, containerization, Linux, and database systems (Postgres / Oracle).
• Proficient in version control (Git), build tools (Maven / Gradle), and unit testing (JUnit).
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and collaboration tools (JIRA / ADO).
• Banking / financial services experience and knowledge of integration patterns is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
