This role leads procurement operations, including sourcing, acquisition, and inventory of supplies and equipment necessary for hotel operations.
Your responsibilities include sourcing top-quality supplies, negotiating favorable contracts, building strong supplier relationships, and ensuring all procurement activities align with the hotel’s financial goals and commitment to quality.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full procurement lifecycle to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality purchasing.
- Design and execute strategic sourcing initiatives that drive cost savings, enhance supplier performance, and align with operational goals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to forecast procurement needs and ensure alignment with business priorities.
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance to continuously improve procurement processes and outcomes.
- Build and nurture strong partnerships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality, reliability, and service excellence.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and negotiate contracts to secure competitive terms and long-term value.
- Foster collaboration with vendors to drive innovation, resolve issues proactively, and support business objectives.
- Oversee inventory levels to maintain optimal stock, preventing shortages and excess while supporting operational efficiency.
- Partner with department heads to accurately forecast procurement needs and ensure purchasing aligns with budgetary goals.
- Implement best practices in inventory control and supply chain coordination to streamline processes and reduce costs.
- Budget Management & Cost Optimization : Oversee procurement budgets to ensure financial discipline and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
- Analyze market trends and pricing dynamics to guide purchasing decisions and negotiate contracts that deliver value.
- Drive cost-efficiency initiatives while maintaining alignment with operational and strategic goals.
- Ensure all procurement activities adhere to hotel policies, SOPs, and local regulations.
- Maintain comprehensive records including purchase orders, invoices, and vendor contracts to support audits and transparency.
- Promote accountability and compliance through diligent documentation and process oversight.
- Lead, coach, and support the procurement team to build capabilities and drive performance.
- Provide ongoing training and mentorship to enhance team members’ skills and professional growth.
- Delegate responsibilities to ensure smooth daily operations, timely execution, and deadlines compliance.
- Foster a collaborative and accountable work environment that supports continuous improvement.
- Track procurement metrics and vendor performance indicators to drive efficiency, compliance, and value.
- Generate regular reports for senior management with actionable insights for process improvement.
- Support data-driven decision-making through accurate analysis and transparent reporting.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging products, and technological advancements to enhance procurement strategies.
- Identify and recommend innovative solutions or alternative suppliers to drive efficiency and cost optimization.
Qualifications & Attributes
Extensive experience in procurement and purchasing within a five-star luxury hospitality environment, with a proven track record in managerial or supervisory roles.Pre-opening project involvement is highly desirable.Strong leadership and negotiation capabilities to build high-performing teams and secure favorable supplier partnerships.Proficiency in procurement software, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office.In-depth knowledge of local procurement regulations and compliance standards, with the ability to manage budgets and implement cost-saving strategies.What it’s like to work for Hilton
