Are you a seasoned legal professional ready to take on a strategic role in a leading financial institution? Cagamas is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Legal to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission of excellence and integrity in financial services.

Key Responsibilities :

As Assistant Vice President, Legal, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring legal compliance and minimizing risk across the organization. Your responsibilities will include :

1.     Drafting & Reviewing

  • Prepare and review legal and quasi-legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.

2.     Research & Legal Advisory

  • Conduct legal research and provide sound advice to management and all departments.
  • Perform due diligence enquiries as required.

    • 3.     Liaison & Negotiation

  • Liaise and negotiate with financial institutions, solicitors, regulatory bodies, service providers, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage agreements, legal opinions, regulatory submissions, document execution, and stamping.

    • 4.     Special Duties & Projects

  • Undertake special assignments as directed by the President / CEO and Chief of Divisions.

    • Requirements :

    We are looking for a candidate who brings both expertise and integrity to the role :

  • Bachelor's degree in Law from a recognized institution
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a legal firm or in-house legal counsel
  • Strong personal integrity and ethical standards
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented and diligent in executing responsibilities
