Role & Responsibilities

  • Support Group Procurement strategic initiatives.
  • Vendor management and new vendor development
  • To participate and support with all projects in close collaboration with teams and Group Procurement for supplier selection, negotiation, and contract implementation
  • Developing cost-effective strategies for the purchasing of materials used in the business.
  • Working with the team for sourcing and negotiating with suppliers for best prices, best quality, payment terms, and delivery timelines.
  • Stay informed of current trends in fluctuating variables in the raw material costs.
  • Build relationships within the company and with external parties, such as suppliers and distributors.
  • To assist and implement the tendering process for procurement.
  • Provide support to resolve supplier quality issues and take corrective action.
  • Implementing and Overseeing inventory levels to meet production demand while minimizing excess stock and carrying costs.
  • Comply with all site and Corporate SOPs and documented processes.
  • Prepare reports on procurement performance
  • Other duties may be assigned
  • Qualification

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, purchasing management or a related field of study.
  • Preferably at least 2 years in supply chain management or 5 years in purchasing or procurement.
  • Excellent proactive problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of procurement & logistics strategies, tactics, negotiation, and contracting skills.
  • Previous experience working in manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Advanced PC skills (specifically Excel, Power Point & Word) including knowledge and hands-on experience with ERP / MRP systems will be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software is preferred.
