Overview
Accounting Manager – Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This role is with ACCA Careers and offers an excellent opportunity for a seasoned accountant who is client service focused, highly organized and detail oriented to contribute to the growth of the Accounting & Advisory business unit. You will supervise and support the provision of accounting, payroll, and advisory services to a broad portfolio of international clients, participate in new prospect engagements and onboarding, and coach a team of staff to develop and grow.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the provision of accounting, payroll, and advisory services to a broad portfolio of international clients.
- Participate in new client prospect meetings and the subsequent onboarding process.
- Develop a deep understanding of clients’ businesses to ensure timely and relevant Mazars reports and advice, and foster a strong “Trusted Business Advisor” relationship.
- Impart technical expertise to the team to ensure accounts are prepared in line with International Financial Standards; coordinate with experts for advisory and compliance issues (e.g., taxation, Companies Act, immigration) as needed.
- Plan the work of the team to ensure deliverables are timely and processes are efficient.
- Take ownership of the financial performance of the team.
- Ensure all firm quality and risk processes are understood and complied with by the team.
- Coach and develop staff, supporting their happiness and well-being.
- Act as a key member of the management team, promoting high levels of client service and commercial thinking.
- Participate in additional ad hoc projects and related tasks as required by the Partner(s).
Requirements
Bachelor of Accountancy and / or equivalent professional qualification.Minimum 6 years of relevant experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably from a professional services firm.Deep understanding of Singapore compliance requirements – accounting, tax, payroll, and Companies Act is an advantage.Advanced knowledge of MS Excel; knowledge of XERO, SAP and / or NetSuite is an advantage.Excellent communication skills, including spoken and written English, and ability to work across all levels.Highly organized with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.Client service focused, entrepreneurial and commercial thinker.Role based in Malaysia; interview will be conducted virtually.If you are seeking a challenging and rewarding career with attractive benefits and training opportunities, please click the “Apply Button” now.
