Maintenance E&I Engineer – Air Liquide

Air Liquide is looking for a Maintenance E&I candidate to join the Melaka team.
Overview
Contribute to safe plant operation and maintenance of Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) systems and DCS, ensuring compliance with company standards and requirements.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the plant is operated safely and at its optimum condition according to company standards and requirements.
- Conduct site walks and monitor warning signals to identify potential malfunctions and report to management.
- Execute and record maintenance works in MAXIMO (CMMS), especially for E&I and DCS.
- Perform periodic routine checks to ensure safe operation and verify adequate PPE is used.
- Support implementation of improvement plans from internal / external audits, root cause analyses (RCA) and company requirements.
- Support operation start-up and shutdown activities, especially for E&I-related tasks.
- Assist in planning or unplanned shutdowns, including Turnarounds (TAR).
- Propose projects to modify assets for profitability and ensure intended results (Efficiency, Reliability, Productivity) are delivered.
- Assist in plant maintenance, particularly for E&I and DCS.
- Perform corrective actions for abnormal alarms / signals in DCS and electrical panels; be on call for plant troubleshooting, including non-routine operation phases.
- Coordinate with other departments and external parties (customers, suppliers, procurement, projects, ROCC, SIO, etc.) on day-to-day work.
- Conduct training for operators and in-house contractors.
- Adhere to the Air Liquide Industrial Management System and implement best practices, quality management, and local laws / regulations.
Qualifications
Degree in Engineering (Electronics & Instrumentation or relevant field).3 years of experience in industrial gas plants or similar industry with hands-on troubleshooting experience.Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.Ability to work with all levels of staff and adapt to various working environments.This position is based in Melaka with occasional travel to Senai required.We invite qualified applicants to submit a detailed resume; only shortlisted candidates will be notified.About Air Liquide
