Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for the assigned commodity
- Closely following assigned commodity supply market activities and price trends and take necessary action
- Identifying, qualifying and selecting global suppliers with a team of buyers, supply chain specialists and supplier development engineers (SDE)
- To develop alternative suppliers within commodity to leverage on value and drive suppliers to improve cost
- Work with SDE to identify and develop new suppliers for cost reduction
- Responsible in leading and conducting global supplier negotiation of price, terms and services
- Management of contracts and agreement with suppliers
- Responsible for reviewing and negotiating on VDP Agreements with key suppliers
- Monitor & track PCN
- Be proactive in managing supplier capacity to match demand of all manufacturing sites
- Monitor and review key supplier performance with regular feedback in QBRs
Requirements
Diploma / Degree in Electronics & Electrical Engineering or equivalentMinimum 2 years of relevant experience in an EMS or Manufacturing environmentGood knowledge of electronics componentsDemonstrate expertise in negotiation, implementation and maintenance of supplier contractsEffective interpersonal skills, both internally and externallySeniority level
