Our Pharma Product Development Assistant Manager / Lead will play an important part in strengthening our product pipeline by sourcing products and developing business partnership with manufacturers for the Malaysia market. This role will collaborate with international suppliers and various internal departments to drive product sourcing, product registration to commercialization.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the identification, evaluation and sourcing of pharmaceutical products from both existing and new suppliers.
Conduct market research and portfolio analysis to determine potential products for registration and commercialization in the market.
Evaluate potential distribution or partnership with suppliers, meeting with suppliers to explore collaboration and prepare business proposals.
Maintain a current and competent level of knowledge on the pharma industry and competitor products, to be a reliable source of information to internal and external customers.
Work closely with RA and suppliers to ensure timely registration of product.
Continuously gather market intelligence and other market information to assist Management in making decisions.
Maintain continuous business relationships with manufacturers / suppliers from time to time.
Monitor product development projects on hand progress regularly and prepare reports to Management for update and decision-making.
Experience and Skills
Preferably least 5 years of experience in sales, marketing or business development roles OR at least 3 years of experience in generic pharma product development or regulatory affairs.
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, Nutritional & Heath Sciences, Business Administration & Marketing or any related discipline will be an added advantage.
Ability to analyze market trends, competitor activity, product potential and pricing dynamics.
Negotiation and relationship management skills with suppliers and other stakeholders.
Effective communication and presentation skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
