Job Overview

Hitachi eBworx Sdn. Bhd. is looking for a Java Application Support Engineer (Middleware) to join our team in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. As part of our Enterprise Business Services team, you will play a key role in ensuring seamless host integration and optimizing system performance.

What you\'ll do :

  • Investigate and troubleshoot issues related to J2EE servers (WebLogic / WebSphere), host integration (IBM MQ / Web Services), and proxy servers (Apache HTTP Server-based).
  • Perform server health checks, performance analysis, and hardware sizing assessments.
  • Develop Java-based components to facilitate server integration with third-party applications.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including server setup guides, incident reports, and health check reports.

    • What is needed from you :

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of working experience, minimum 1 year experience of Java web application development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand system flows and troubleshoot effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver results within tight deadlines.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to document technical findings clearly.
  • Open-minded and eager to learn new technologies.

    • You’ll stand out if :

  • A strong understanding of J2EE concepts (EJB, JMS, JDBC, JTA, Java Servlets, JSP).
  • Experience with UNIX-based operating systems (Solaris, Ubuntu, Linux).
  • Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL programming.
  • Experience with Kubernetes implementation and documentation.
