Java Application Support Engineer (Middleware)

Job descriptionInvestigate and troubleshoot issues related to J2EE servers (WebLogic / WebSphere), host integration (IBM MQ / Web Services), and proxy servers (Apache HTTP Server-based). Perform server health checks, performance analysis, and hardware sizing assessments. Develop Java-based components to facilitate server integration with third-party applications. Create and maintain documentation, including server setup guides, incident reports, and health check reports. Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent 3-5 years of working experience, minimum 1 year experience of Java web application development. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand system flows and troubleshoot effectively. Ability to work independently and deliver results within tight deadlines. Good verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to document technical findings clearly. Open-minded and eager to learn new technologies. A strong understanding of J2EE concepts (EJB, JMS, JDBC, JTA, Java Servlets, JSP). Experience with UNIX-based operating systems (Solaris, Ubuntu, Linux). Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL programming. Experience with Kubernetes implementation and documentation.
