Job Purpose and Role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper with a CPA background to oversee our day-to-day financial operations and ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role combines traditional bookkeeping responsibilities with higher-level accounting expertise, making it ideal for someone who thrives on both the transactional and strategic aspects of finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable / receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Support payroll processing, employee reimbursements, and related tax filings.
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities, including variance analysis and cash flow tracking.
  • Support external audits and tax preparations by ensuring all supporting documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and internal controls to improve financial operations.
  • Assist leadership in financial decision-making by providing timely insights and analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • CPA certification required (active or inactive license accepted, depending on jurisdiction).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of bookkeeping and accounting experience, preferably in SaaS and Health-tech industries.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, tax compliance, and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Proficiency with Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Job type : Full Time - Remote

    Hours : Available during standard US business hours (9am-5pm EST or 8 : 30am-4 : 30pm EST)
