Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead commercial activities and drive business growth within the polymer and chemical markets. This role requires a strong background in B2B sales, deep understanding of polymer applications, and the ability to build long-term partnerships with clients across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue, margin, and market share targets.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities across key market segments such as packaging, automotive, construction, and consumer goods.
Manage and grow relationships with existing customers, distributors, and channel partners.
Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and sales agreements to ensure profitable outcomes.
Market & Product Strategy
Conduct market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
Collaborate with technical and product development teams to introduce new polymer solutions and applications.
Recommend product improvements and value-added solutions based on market feedback.
Support marketing initiatives, including trade shows, seminars, and product launches.
Account & Relationship Management
Maintain regular contact with key clients to ensure satisfaction, resolve issues, and identify upselling opportunities.
Work closely with internal teams (R&D, Supply Chain, and Technical Support) to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer experience.
Develop long-term strategic partnerships with key accounts and industry stakeholders.
Performance Management & Reporting
Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for management review.
Monitor sales performance against targets and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Provide market insights and competitor intelligence to support strategic decision-making.
Requirements
Education :
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or a related discipline.
MBA or equivalent qualification is an added advantage.
Experience :
Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in B2B sales within the polymer, chemical, or plastics industry.
Proven success in managing key accounts and achieving sales growth in a competitive environment.
Experience in leading a sales team or regional portfolio is preferred.
Skills & Attributes :
Strong understanding of polymer materials, compounding, or chemical product applications.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and problem-solving ability.
Customer-centric mindset with a collaborative approach.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
Willingness to travel for client meetings, trade events, and business reviews.
