RESPONSIBILTIIES
Teaching & Learning
- Deliver high-quality teaching across Advertising & Brand Management modules at undergraduate level (and postgraduate where applicable).
- Undertake curriculum design, development, and review to ensure alignment with programme outcomes and industry needs.
- Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, workshops, and practical sessions using effective and engaging teaching methods.
- Provide academic advising, consultation hours, and mentorship to guide students’ learning, career development, and well-being.
- Contribute to assessment activities such as setting, invigilating, marking, and moderating examinations and assignments.
- Integrate digital tools and innovative pedagogies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
Research & Scholarly Activity
Conduct research, scholarly, or creative activities in relevant areas of advertising, branding, or marketing.Publish in peer-reviewed journals, conferences, or recognised industry / academic platforms.Seek research funding, consultancy, or industry collaboration opportunities.Supervise undergraduate research projects, and postgraduate researchIndustry Engagement & Collaboration
Build and maintain strong links with the advertising, branding, and marketing industries.Facilitate live briefs, guest lectures, field projects, and internships to enrich the student learning experience.Contribute to the School’s strategic initiatives through industry partnerships, collaborations, and professional engagement.Administration & Service
Undertake administrative responsibilities such as module leadership, programme coordination, or participation in committees.Support student recruitment, orientation, and retention initiatives.Participate in accreditation, quality assurance, and programme monitoring processes.Contribute actively to departmental, School, and Faculty events and activities.REQUIREMENTS
Possess a PhD in Media and Communication with a specialization in Advertising or a closely related field from a reputable institutionPublished at least 1 paper in in C.I. journal (ISI, SCOPUS) in the last 5 yearsDemonstrated experience in higher education teaching and curriculum development or substantial industry experience in advertising, branding, or marketing with evidence of coaching, mentoring, and high-quality presentation skills.Ability to develop engaging teaching methodologies and materials, including the effective use of digital and interactive technologies to facilitate learning.Strong industry network and knowledge of current trends in advertising and brand management are an added advantage.Proficiency in creative software applications, particularly Adobe Creative Suite for teaching. Knowledge of additional digital, interactive, and emerging creative technologies will be an added advantage.#J-18808-Ljbffr
