Job Summary
The role sits within the Compliance, Financial Crime (CFCR) and Conduct Risk team, supporting Corporate & Investment Banking businesses. The team works globally with Business, COO and Risk stakeholders. The role supports the strategy and direction of the CFCR department, providing oversight and challenge of CIB businesses and supporting ongoing risk assessment and non‑financial risk management. Primary focus is on policy and standard implementation and effectiveness with first‑line stakeholders, supporting second line risk owners and remediation efforts to keep CIB within risk tolerance.
Responsibilities
- Governance alignment, control enhancement initiatives and oversight of key control deliverables.
- Regulatory change management initiatives and management information & reporting analytics.
- Oversight of CFCR non‑financial risk strategy and agenda for pan‑CIB business changes and implementation of regulatory requirements.
- Leadership and oversight of daily scope for the team on a day‑to‑day basis.
- Drive changes within CIB businesses to strengthen framework management, enhance governance frameworks, policies, processes and control design to minimise compliance and regulatory risk.
- Plan and participate in RSCA, policy reviews, regional initiatives and central compliance initiatives.
- Notify material risk developments and serious regulatory breaches to relevant senior leadership and regulatory bodies.
- Support the management of regulatory relationships with all Group regulators.
- Participate in key change programmes and projects, track regulatory developments and coordinate responses to new or evolving regulatory requirements.
- Maintain detailed project plans, monitor progress, escalate issues and support resolution tracking to completion.
- Maintain effective stakeholder relationships with relevant business and supporting functions.
- Lead through example, promote a culture of openness, trust and risk awareness and provide feedback on CFCR matters across business, functional, country and individual levels.
