About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on Senior Accountant who will be responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of accounting activities for our Malaysia and Singapore entities including AP, AR, GL, Inventory, and Fixed Assets. You’ll also partner closely with internal teams to drive operational efficiency, ensure compliance, and support strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full set of accounts for both Malaysia and Singapore, covering Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Inventory, and Fixed Assets.
- Handle month-end closings, prepare management reports, and ensure compliance with IFRS, MFRS, and other regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and submit financial statements, SST reports, tax returns, and conduct variance analysis.
- Act as the key liaison with auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with business units and internal stakeholders as a finance business partner, providing financial insights and recommendations.
- Continuously improve financial processes, documentation (WI), and internal controls to ensure best practices.
- Lead and support ad hoc finance projects, process improvements, and business strategy implementations.
- Supervise and mentor finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and accountability.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting; must be a Qualified CA / MIA member.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within a multinational environment.Solid knowledge and hands-on experience in financial accounting and controlling.Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and MFRS.Background in a Big 4 audit firm or international exposure is highly valued.Proficient in SAP.Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).Seniority level
