Responsibilities and Duties
- Prepare and manage detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings, including dimensioning and tolerancing, aligned with HQ design standards.
- Generate, update, and maintain BOMs with proper version control and traceability.
- Participate in design optimization, modularization, and standardization initiatives to improve product quality and manufacturability.
- Support prototype evaluation by coordinating basic testing and verifying design outputs to meet quality expectations.
- Collaborate with procurement and vendors to evaluate local parts and support incoming material control.
- Lead and support Engineering Change Request (ECR) and Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes with thorough documentation and approval workflows.
- Provide technical support to production, quality, and service teams for resolving design-related issues and improving product quality.
- Maintain technical documentation such as installation manuals and handling guides, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure all mechanical design activities comply with ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements related to document control, version management, and traceability.
Qualifications
Working Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design, engineering documentation, or automation equipment development.Education
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (preferred).Essential Knowledge & Skills
Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles and GD&T standards.Proficient in 3D / 2D CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).Knowledge of BOM structures, configuration control, and version tracking.Familiarity with manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability (DFM).Hands‑on experience with ECR / ECO processes and prototype testing.Good communication and teamwork skills for cross‑departmental collaboration.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Bilingual (e.g., English and Mandarin) is an added advantage.What’s in It for You?
