We are seeking a high-caliber professional to join our Alliance Islamic – Business Finance department under Alliance Islamic Bank (AIS) as the Vice President, Business Finance, with functional reporting to Group Finance under Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad.
The Role
A successful candidate will be accountable for the following :
- Finance – Support the bank with timely and accurate reporting, including highlights of financial performance and KPIs; set up reporting requirements and partner with product / business teams to support strategic initiatives and provide analytical support for decision making and process improvements.
- Strategy – Build financial reporting capabilities to support business strategies, decision-making, and performance management to enable business growth and financial targets.
- Catalyst – Instill an agile, transformational mindset throughout the bank to drive strong business performance and improve how the Bank runs its business.
- Operator – Drive management reporting for AIS including proactive development of strategy, business plan, budgets, and financial projections effectively and efficiently, internally and externally.
Job Description
Management Reporting Lead for AIS, covering Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss analysis by Line of Business; manage key metrics such as NPM, COF, Credit Cost, C / I Ratio, ROE and other KPIs for entity and LOBs.Analyze business performance and provide management commentary for reports.Drive financial performance with key stakeholders, managing Board of Directors, GAC and Management Committee; result-oriented and focused on excellence.Lead the annual budgeting cycle focusing on business execution, profitability, and substance by collaborating with all lines of business, product teams, development teams and strategy teams.Analyze profitability of the business using product dynamics / drivers to provide value-added advice for decision making.Cost management : estimate and analyze monthly and yearly operating expenses, benchmarking against budget or prior year.Prepare financial projections (production decks) for business plans and benchmarking against Group and competitors.Target BSPL : contribute to long-term strategy by working with Business Strategy, product and development teams on BSPL for products and channels aligned to AIS vision.Month-end closing and mid-month processes; monitor accrual postings and cross-charge postings.Liquidity planning and management, ensuring liquidity ratio compliance (LDR, LFR, LCR, NSFR, EVE, EAR); overall ALM management.Handle other responsibilities proactively and promptly in line with the bank’s values and behaviours.Assist with ad-hoc projects or tasks as assigned by AIS Head of Business Finance / Supervisor.Job Requirements
