Responsibilities

• Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests.
• Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question and investigate.
• Use computers, audio-visual aids, and other equipment and materials to supplement presentation.
• Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units and projects, and communicate these objectives to students.
• Prepare course materials such as syllabi, classwork, homework assignments, coursework and homework.
• Prepare, evaluate and revise curricula, course content, materials and methods of instruction.
• Marking work, giving appropriate feedback and maintaining records of students’ progress and development.
• Research new topic areas, maintaining up-to-date subject knowledge.
• Assist students who need extra help, such as tutoring, preparing and implementing remedial programmes.
