PASTRY ASSISTANT (PERAI, PENANG)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Pastry Assistant to join our bakery team in Perai, Penang. As a Pastry Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting our skilled Pastry Chefs in the preparation and production of a variety of delicious pastries, baked goods and desserts. This is a full-time position within our growing bakery business.

What you'll be doing

• Assist in the preparation of pastry and dessert items according to recipes and standards.
• Help in measuring and mixing ingredients, baking, decorating, and packaging finished products.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and tools.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Assist in inventory management, stock rotation, and proper storage of ingredients and supplies.
• Collaborate with the pastry chef and team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely production.
• Follow instructions and guidance from the pastry chef to maintain quality and consistency in pastry items.
• Learn and develop pastry skills under the guidance of experienced chefs and bakers.
• Contribute to the overall success of the pastry department by assisting in various tasks as needed.
