We are seeking an experienced
Senior Engineer, Subsea
to join a leading energy operator. This role will be based in Kuala Lumpur and will focus on the integrity, operability, and long-term performance of subsea production systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support to ensure safe and reliable operation of subsea production systems, risers, and transfer lines.
- Develop and implement long-term integrity management strategies, including risk-based inspection (RBI) plans.
- Lead and execute subsea inspection, maintenance, and repair (IMR) campaigns, including preparation of scopes, workpacks, and method statements.
- Manage subsea contractors, vessels, ROV, and intervention activities, including equipment readiness, testing, and logistics.
- Maintain subsea inspection records, anomaly tracking, and integrity dashboards.
- Represent the company for both offshore and onshore subsea operations when required.
- Support technical investigations, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with HSE and technical standards throughout all activities.
Requirements
Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.At least 10 years of experience in upstream oil & gas, with exposure to shallow and deepwater operations.Proven background in subsea IMR / intervention work, EPCIC contractor management, and site representation.Strong knowledge of subsea systems, technologies, and relevant industry standards.Skilled in root cause analysis methods (5 Whys, RCFA, Fishbone).Offshore medical fit, adaptable to short-notice travel, and comfortable working in a multicultural environment.
