Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) is a general insurer with an exciting opportunity for a Risk & Compliance Senior Analyst with financial services industry experience to join our Legal, Risk & Compliance team. Based in our Kuala Lumpur office, you will be predominantly supporting the Australasia business, working at the direction of our Risk & Compliance Manager, Australasia, and be a part of our Malaysia branch operation. The role will fulfill and aid with a diverse range of business activities, including risk management, regulatory requirements, and compliance for our growing business. Responsibilities : Working closely with and at the direction of our Risk & Compliance Manager Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies Monitoring of risks and gathering risk data from the business, preparing a variety of risk reports Support incident investigations and manage risk event reporting throughout the business Conduct control testing, identifying gaps and recommending improvements, including control design Assisting business units undertake assurance activities Working with internal and external audit to facilitate work streams, and answer information requests as needed Manage and monitor audit and risk issues and recommendations to closure Digesting complaints trends for the business, and preparing written reports Monitor regulatory developments and ensure compliance with relevant laws Maintain and enhance the enterprise risk management framework and compliance programs Information Systems – Manage and maintain records supporting compliance with prudential standards, and financial services laws, through use and operation of a Governance, Risk & Compliance system Assist with training and awareness programs on risk and compliance topics Support the Risk & Compliance Manager in project planning for and implementation of legal & regulatory changes or developments Qualifications, Skills and Experience : Undergraduate qualification - Finance, Risk, Audit, Business, Law or related fields highly regarded A professional with 7+ years’ work experience A background in risk or audit. Compliance experience also valued Experience in a professional services firm would be highly regarded Excellent written and verbal communication skills Passionate about risk and compliance Motivated, adaptable, collaborative.
