Managing effective parts processes flow for both internal and external customers and maintain an inventory for service departments.
Monitors the parts inventory and anticipates parts needs considering future new model years, trends and suggested stock orders with approval from branch management.
Managing the minimum and maximum quantity to be evaluated for fast-moving parts. Maintain high part availability for service departments
Keep up-to-date records of picking list, requisition records and delivery parts from the store room.
Plan time inventory purchases to coincide with sales special order with discussion with workshop manager.
Create purchase orders for parts, verify quantity received and record in system.
Always check supersede part number upon receiving from HSTD to avoid discrepancy during stock check.
Responsible for packing, labelling and returning supplies if part failure or fault.
Involves analyze current inventory, spot-checking to ensure that actual inventory coincides with computerized inventory, checking on back orders etc.
Requires working closely with other in the dealership, planning for the appropriate availability of parts and supplies and participating in forecasting and revising plans.
Involves ensuring that at least one other person in the department is knowledgeable about inventory requirements and ordering systems.
Job Requirements
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in parts management, inventory control, or a related automotive field.
Diploma / Degree in Automotive, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field; professional certifications in parts / inventory management are an added advantage.
Strong ability to maintain accurate parts inventory levels, proper labeling, and monitor turnover effectively.
Proficiency in using computer systems for inventory, recordkeeping, and parts information management.
Solid knowledge of automotive systems and new model updates from technical service bulletins.
Capability to develop and execute action plans that ensure customer satisfaction and department profitability.
Proven leadership skills in guiding, training, and motivating team members in parts operations.
Competence in analyzing and interpreting inventory and pricing reports to support decision-making.
Excellent organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams.
