About the role

Mewah Group is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Executive to join our Operations team as an Executive, Operations (Freight Desk). This full-time role will be based in our Shah Alam, Selangor office and is a crucial position within our Freight / Cargo Forwarding operations.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the freight desk, including tracking shipments, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring timely delivery
  • Liaise with clients to understand their freight requirements and provide updates on the status of their shipments
  • Prepare and process all necessary documentation for freight movements, including customs clearance and regulatory compliance
  • Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the freight forwarding process
  • Maintain accurate records and data related to freight activities
  • Continuously seek ways to improve operational efficiency and provide a high level of customer service

What we're looking for

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in freight forwarding or a related logistics role
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients, carriers, and internal stakeholders
  • Proficient in using freight management software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of freight forwarding regulations, documentation, and customs procedures
  • A team player with a proactive and problem-solving mindset
