Responsibilities :

A caregiver can provide physical and emotional assistance to the chronically ill, those who are aging, or disabled individuals. Because no two peoples’ needs are the same, each person’s caring requirements will differ.

However, multiple duties may be expected to be completed during the care cycle. There are many aspects involved in the caregiver’s duties and responsibilities.

• Effective communication – able to connect and respond to senior clients
• Senior engagement – respond and engage clients in all daily activities
• Medication administration – responsible and accountable to administering to clients
• Meal preparation – simple meals
• Light housekeeping – bed making, disinfecting, washing and cleaning after meals etc
• Personal care – showering, toileting when required, feeding, dressing, oral care,
• Socialization – activities and outing
• Reporting daily care
• Documentation
• Monitor the safety and well-being of the clients and report any concerns to the Manager
• Support clients to participate in age appropriate activities and tasks including employment, in home support and  community access.
• Liaise extensively with other staff to ensure the overall smooth and consistent running of the service.

Other responsibilities will be agreed upon during and after recruitment process.

EPF / SOSCO

In addition to the remuneration paid, MERIAN will make the compulsory minimum contributions required into a complying fund in accordance with the Section 43(1), EPF Act.

Leave

We offer the following leave in accordance with the employment Act 1955

For each year of service, an employee (other than a casual employee), minimum annual leave entitlements will be offered.

Long Service Leave

Long Service leave will be granted to employees in accordance with applicable long service leave legislation as varied from time to time.

Travell allowances :

We offer travel benefits for those travelling from far like Sabah, Sarawak, Northern states of Peninsular after discussion with staff in the recruitment process. This also applies to accommodation.
