Penerangan pekerjaanProvide technical support for database-related issues on Linux and Windows Server . Implement and maintain security policies for database access, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Configure and manage storage solutions for database environments, including capacity planning and performance optimization . Collaborate with storage teams to ensure effective database storage management and disaster recovery strategies . Implement and manage SAN / NAS storage technologies in alignment with database requirements. Monitor database storage growth and recommend necessary upgrades. Optimize databases for high availability, scalability, and performance . Implement indexing strategies, query optimization, and memory tuning . Develop automated scripts for database monitoring and performance reporting. Ensure regular database backups and maintain reliable disaster recovery procedures . Conduct periodic recovery drills to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime. Work closely with development teams to design database schemas and integrate applications with databases. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to IT teams. Assist with system upgrades, patches, and migrations Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field . 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator , focusing on Linux, Windows Server, and storage solutions . Proven experience as a Database Administrator , managing databases across Oracle Linux / RHEL (79.x) and Windows Server (2019, 2022, 2025) . Strong expertise in SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL database management . Proficiency in storage management technologies (SAN, NAS) and database capacity planning . Automation skills : Hands-on experience with shell scripting (Bash, PowerShell) for database management. Experience with database security, backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning . Advanced troubleshooting and performance tuning skills for high availability environments. Familiarity with cloud-based databases and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus Staff medical insurance Training programs Team-building activities Leave in Lieu for working on non-working day Positive and inclusive company culture One way moving allowance of USD 250 Working Visa cost to be borne by employer Annual leave - 15 days Medical leave - 30 days Insurance - Up to USD 10,000 (IPD) Special leave - Country of origin's National Day Working hours 8 : 00 to 17 : 30 (Monday to Friday) and 8 : 00 to 12 : 00 (Saturday) Transport to and from office

We are representing our client, a proud subsidiary of a prestigious conglomerate in Laos with a legacy spanning nearly 50 years. As part of their ongoing regional expansion, they are currently seeking to hire two dedicated Database Administrators one to be based in Petaling Jaya , and the other in Laos .
Job Responsibilities :
Database Administration :
- Administer, manage, and optimize relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle) on Linux and Windows Server platforms .
- Install, configure, and maintain database servers and related tools.
- Perform database backups, restores, and disaster recovery operations .
- Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues , optimizing queries and indexes.
