Senior Sourcing Director for Supplier Development is a strategic leader responsible for identifying, developing, and cultivating specific suppliers to enhance their performance, capabilities, and alignment with the buying organization's goals . This role involves in-depth strategic sourcing, managing key supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, using data-driven decision-making to improve costs and quality, and driving innovation and sustainability through supplier partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Identification : Leading the process to find and evaluate potential suppliers that can meet specific needs and contribute to organizational objectives.
• Supplier Performance Improvement : Working directly with selected suppliers to help them improve their capabilities, processes, and performance for the benefit of the buying company.
• Relationship Management : Nurturing and managing long-term, high-impact relationships with critical suppliers.
• Cost & Contract Management : Obtaining quotes, negotiating contracts, and implementing strategies to control costs and ensure competitive pricing.
• Data Analysis & Decision-Making : Utilizing analytical rigor and data to make informed decisions about sourcing strategies and supplier selection.
• Stakeholder Alignment : Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure sourcing strategies align with broader business objectives and quality standards.
