Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, back‑of‑house facilities and building exteriors to identify maintenance needs, faults or safety issues.
Execute preventive maintenance tasks according to schedules (e.g., HVAC checks, plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, painting).
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests or staff, carry out repairs (light to moderate) and escalate major issues to the Engineering / Chief Engineer.
Assist in monitoring and maintaining mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment to ensure optimal functionality and minimal service disruption.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, service logs, parts usage, equipment status and repairs undertaken.
Liaise with the housekeeping, front office, food & beverage and other operational departments to coordinate maintenance activities with minimal guest disturbance.
Manage spare parts inventory, tools and maintenance supplies; ensure stock levels are adequate, equipment is in good condition and tools are used safely.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards regarding safety, building maintenance, fire‑safety, environmental and guest safety protocols.
Support major maintenance / upgrade projects or refurbishments as required, including scaffolding, shutdown coordination, contractor supervision (if applicable).
Work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays if required to handle urgent repairs or ensure 24 / 7 operational readiness.
Promote energy‑efficiency and cost‑control through careful maintenance planning, identifying opportunities for improvement in equipment performance and reduced downtime.
