Summary of Position :

  • In general, to assist in oversee the overall finance department functions.

Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Supervise team and oversee daily financial operations, including Accounts Receivable (students' fees collection, refunds, account accuracy, aging review, provisions, etc.) and Accounts Payable (supplier payments, etc.).
  • Manage overall financial reporting, treasury, taxation, and audit matters.
  • Conduct monthly analytical review of financial statements, departmental profit & loss, and prepare management reports for Group submission and EXCO presentation.
  • Prepare annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and perform actual vs. budget / forecast reviews.
  • Plan and monitor weekly cash flows.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and other statutory requirements.
  • Liaise with bankers, internal / external auditors, and tax agents.
  • Liaise with EMS team to ensure the information generated from EMS is correct and accurate for management reporting.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives, review and enhance controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned, including duties within MAA Group of companies.

    • Requirements :

  • Minimum Degree in Accounting
  • Minimum 5 years in accounting functions
  • Trustworthy, honest and pay attention to details
  • Advance in of Microsoft Office Applications, Understanding and application of Malaysia Financial Reporting Standards, Be able to effectively handle multiple assignments simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
  • High level of integrity, commitment, and a good team player.
  • Articulate and good interpersonal skills.

    Contract length : 12 months
