Accounts Associate (Australia tax and accounting)
About the Role
We have two exciting opportunities to join our growing accounting team in Kuala Lumpur, supporting clients in Australia.
As part of our outsource international accounting division, you’ll gain exposure to Australian accounting, bookkeeping, and taxation standards, working with real client portfolios and receiving structured training and guidance from experienced professionals.

For Junior (Accounts Executive) :
- Handle bookkeeping and data entry using Xero, QBO, MYOB, or other accounting platforms
- Perform bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations
- Prepare workpapers supporting financial statements and tax returns
- Assist in preparing Business Activity Statements (BAS / GST) and tax filings
- Maintain accurate and organized client records and documentation
- Work closely with senior accountants on year-end financial reporting and compliance tasks
For Senior Accountant :
Review bookkeeping, work-papers, and financial statements prepared by junior staffPrepare and review tax computations, BAS / IAS, and annual financial statementsSupervise a portfolio of Australian business clientsLiaise with managers, auditors, and the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) as requiredProvide guidance and training to junior accountantsContribute to process improvements and quality assurance initiativesRequirements
Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldFresh graduates are encouraged to apply for the Junior position (full training provided)Experienced candidates (3–5 years) in accounting, audit, or outsourcing are preferred for the Senior roleStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial reportingProficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks is an advantageExcellent English communication skills (written and spoken)Ability to read and write basic Mandarin is preferred (for documentation and communication)Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentA positive attitude and willingness to learn international standardsPreferred (Not Required)
